It also has a "dummy" key that will allow the ignition to turn when you install it in your vehicle. However, it will not allow your vehicle to start. You will need to obtain the PROPER VATS KEY BLANK from our other listings or from your dealer in order to make this switch work. You will need to take the PROPER VATS KEY BLANK and the "dummy" key to a hardware store and have it cut. The PROPER VATS KEY BLANK will then allow your vehicle to start. You were furnished the VATS KEY BLANK number (1-15) when you first purchased your vehicle. If you do not have this number, you can take a ohm reading from your current key and we can cross reference that ohm reading to the proper VATS key blank. This switch requires a mechanic, locksmith or someone with mechanical ability fo installation.
